RPP Infra Proj wins Rs 46 cr storm water drain proj in Chennai

RPP Infra Projects today said it has won a Rs 45.60 crore contract in Chennai for a storm water drain project.

The drain project is funded by the World Bank.

"The company has recently been awarded a contract for Tamil Nadu Sustainable Urban Development Project (TNSUDP) - Integrated Storm Water Drain (ISWD) funded by World Bank for construction of ISWD in Coovum watershed of Coovum Basin in expanded area of Chennai Corporation for Rs 456 million," the company said in a filing to the BSE.

It said the project is scheduled to be completed in 24 months and the "company is confident of achieving few more orders from Chennai Corporation in coming weeks".
 

RPP Infra Projects CMD Arul Sundaram said, "India envisages a big growth for infrastructure in coming days and company is poised to garner a sizeable growth from this by winning orders currently and few more orders going ahead. We are happy that revenues and profit of our company will touch new heights in coming years."

The company stock closed at Rs 114.10, up 2.93 per cent, on the BSE.
