Saket City Hospital, part of the diversified conglomerate B K Modi-led Smart Global, today said it will invest over Rs 350 crore to add around 350 beds in the city-based healthcare institution by 2016.
"We will invest over Rs 350 crore to add around 350 beds in Saket City Hospital by 2016. This will be in addition to 252 beds we currently have," Saket City Hospital Vice Chairperson Divya Modi-Tongya told PTI.
As per industry norm, about Rs 1 crore is required per bed in a tertiary care hospital, she added.

Modi-Tongya was speaking on the sidelines of launch of latest generation of 'AlluraClarity biplane neuro DSA system' at the hospital.
In the current phase, the focus is to develop this hospital and later we would look for expansion opportunities outside, Modi-Tongya said.
"We are looking at developing the entire 15 acre property here. The idea is to take this hospital to the next level, she added.
About the focus areas for the hospital, Modi-Tongya said: "The areas of focus are the seven super speciality institutes we have in the hospital."
The $2 billion Singapore-based Smart Global group forayed into healthcare space last year in January. It has presence in various verticals including mobility, finance, realty and entertainment.
