The body of a 21-year-old youth bearing a bullet wound was recovered from the bushes near Gang-Nehr bridge today, police said.
After receiving information from locals about the body, police reached the spot and identified the deceased as Saurabh, a resident of Goon village near Partapur in Meerut, SHO Muradnagar Ummed Yadav said.
The possibility of love affair behind the murder of Saurabh, who was employed as sanitation worker with a private housing society, can't be ruled out, Yadav said.
Police is also investigating the angle of enmity.
The body has been sent for post mortem.
No FIR has been registered at Police Station Muradnagar as no complaint has been recieved from his parents yet, the SHO added.
