Save farmers from stray cattle damaging crops: Rashtriya Kisan Manch

The Rashtriya Kisan Manch today said the Uttar Pradesh government must take steps to save the farmers from the losses they suffer due to stray cattle and other animals destroying their crops.

Addressing a farmers' rally at Sandila in Hardoi today, the president of Rashtriya Kisan Manch, Shekhar Dixit, said since Independence, almost all the sections of the society have made progress but the condition of a large section of farmers in the country are yet to improve.

"Stray cattle and animals often venture into agricultural fields causing huge loss to farmers, most of whom are already struggling to make the both ends meet," he said and demanded that the state government come to the rescue of the farmers.
 

Dixit demanded formation of a Kisaan Aayog and warned, "If it is not formed, the Rashtriya Kisan Manch will to resort to protest.
