Select edible oils strengthen on buying by millers

The prices of select edible oils strengthened by Rs 50 per quintal at the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today on increased buying by vanaspati millers and retailers to meet rising demand.

Castor oil in the non-edible section also moved up on increased demand from consuming industries.

In the national capital, soyabean refined mill delivery (Indore) and soyabean degum (Kandla) oils advanced by Rs 50 each to Rs 7,050 and Rs 6,750 per quintal, respectively.

Palmolein (rbd) and palmolein (Kandla) oils followed suit and were up by Rs 50 each to Rs 6,350 and Rs 6,150 per quintal, respectively.

In the non-edible section, castor oil went up by Rs 50 to Rs 9,500-9,600 per quintal.
 

Following are today's quotations per quintal:

Oilseeds: Mustardseed 2,950-3,050 and Groundnut Seed 2,150-2,900.

Vanaspati Ghee (15-litre tin) 1,060-1,290.

Edible oils: Groundnut Mill Delivery (Gujarat) 7,400, Groundnut Solvent Refined (per tin) 1,275-1,350, Mustard expeller (Dadri) 6,800, Mustard Pakki Ghani (per tin) 1,200-1,250, Mustard Kachi Ghani (per tin) 1,250-1,350, sesame mill delivery 8,650 Soybean Refined Mill Delivery (Indore) 7,050, Soyabean Degum (Kandla) 6,750, Crude Palm Oil (Ex-Kandla) 5,300, Cottonseed Mill Delivery (Haryana) 6,400, Palmolein (RBD) Rs 6,350, Palmolein (Kandla) 6,150 and Coconut (per tin) 2,600-2,680.

Non-edible oils: Linseed 7,700, Castor 9,500-9,600, Neem 5,300-5,400.
