Select pulses slide on sluggish demand

Prices of select pulses drifted by Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale market today due to decline in demand at prevailing higher levels.

Besides, fall in demand at existing levels, adequate stocks kept pressure on select pulses, traders said.

In the national capital, urad and its dal chilka local declined by Rs 100 each to Rs 5,900-6,300 and Rs 7,100-7,300.

Urad dal best quality and dhoya also enquired lower by a similar margin to Rs 7,350-7,950 and Rs 7,600-8,000 per quintal respectively.

Arhar and its dal dara variety were down by Rs 100 each at Rs 4,300-4,400 and Rs 5,500-5,800 per quintal respectively. Moth also weakened by Rs 100 to 4,600-4,900 per quintal.
 

Moong and its dal chilka local traded in negative zone with a fall of Rs 100 each to Rs 6,100-7,100 and Rs 7,100-7,600 per quintal respectively. Its dal dhoya local and best quality shed Rs 100 each at Rs 7,000-7,300 and Rs 7,800-7,900 per quintal.

Urad 5,900-6,300, Urad Chilka (local) 7,100-7,300, best 7,350-7,950, Dhoya 7,600-8,000, Moong 6,100-7,100, Dal Moong Chilka local 7,100-7,600, Moong Dhoya local 7,000-7,300 and best quality 7,800-7,900.

Masoor small 5,000-5,300, bold 5,000-5,400, Dal Masoor local 5,900-6,000, best quality 6,000-6,100, Malka local 5,700-6,000, best 5,900-6,000, Moth 4,600-4,900, Arhar 4,300-4,400, Dal Arhar Dara 5,500-5,800.

Gram 2,800-3,600, Gram Dal (local) 3,550-3,750, best quality 3,650-3,750, Besan (35 kg) Shakti bhog 1,400, Rajdhani 1,400, Rajmah Chitra 5,200-8,700, Kabli Gram small 3,600-6,000, dabra 2,700-2,800, imported 4,700-5,100, Lobia 4,600-5,800, Peas white 2,900-2,950 and green 2,900-3,050.
