Selfies are a disease: Katy Perry

Pop star Katy Perry has said that clicking selfies is like a disease after a fan asked the singer to take a solo picture.

Perry, 29, who attended the Harper Bazaar's private pool party at Coachella last night, gave her reasons as to why she did not want to take a selfie and later took to micro-blogging site Twitter to express her views, reported Radar online.

"Dear festival friends remember, selfing is a disease," she tweeted.
