Setback for SAD, Sheetal to contest as Independent from Faridkot
Earlier, SAD had announced candidature of sitting MP Paramjit Kaur Gulshan from Faridkot constituency

In a setback to ruling SAD in Punjab, three-time MLA from Dharamkot Assembly seat, Sheetal Singh has announced to contest as an Independent candidate from Faridkot Lok Sabha constituency.
Earlier, SAD had announced candidature of sitting MP Paramjit Kaur Gulshan from Faridkot constituency.
"It is unfortunate that there was no respect for senior and dedicated leaders in SAD," said perturbed Singh.
Singh, however, said that he will give reason for contesting as an Independent candidate from Faridkot at an appropriate time.
Sheetal had won in 1997, 2002 and 2007 from the Dharamkot Assembly constituency in Moga district.
