One woman professor working in a private university here was allegedly sexually harassed by the university's chancellor and two others, following which a case has been registered today against the three in this connection.
"On complaint of the woman professor, an FIR has been lodged. The three accused would be arrested," said Brijesh Kumar Singh, SP (Rural).
According to the complaint filed by the woman, working as associate professor, a professor working in the university sexually harassed her two months ago. When she complained about the incident to the chancellor, instead of taking action against the professor, he (chancellor) also sexually abused her. Later one head of department too joined them and sexually abused the woman.
She further stated that when she warned the three, she was dismissed from service and denied her salary.
