Playback singer Shalmali Kholgade has released her first-ever independent single titled "Aye".
The 29-year-old singer's new number focuses on gender equality and vows for no discrimination.
The three-minute-thirty-one-second video has been both directed and composed by Shalmali.
Speaking at the launch of the single, Shalmali said, "I've waited too long to do this. No matter what the outcome, launching my independent career with this track gives me a feeling of fulfillment."
The songstress is now gearing up for the release of two more singles.
