Shopkeeper killed, traders protest

A shopkeeper has been brutally murdered by some unidentified persons at his shop, in front of a police picket in Thangaon area here, police said today.

The victim Chhotelal Gupta (40), was shot dead last night and his body was recovered this morning from the shop in front of the Haleem Nagar police picket, they said.

The locals including traders resorted to protest demanding immediate arrest of those involved in the incident.

Police is probing the matter. No arrests have been made so far in this connection.
