Showers continue to lash parts of UP

Moderate to heavy rains and thunder showers occurred at few places over east Uttar Pradesh in the last 24 hours.

In western parts of the state, light rain or thunder showers occurred at isolated places, a MeT Department official said here.

According to the MeT office, 8 cm rainfall was recorded at Gorakhpur, 7 cm each in Bansi, Regauli, Kakrahi, 6 cm in Maharajganj, Sultanpur, 5 cm rainfall in Ghoshi, 4 cm each in Birdghat, Mukhlishpur, 3 cm each in Utaruala, Basti, Deoria, Bansgaon, Gazipur, Kushinagar, Pharenda, Harriya, Gazipur, Zamania, Hata, Domariaganj and Bllia 2 cm each.

The weatherman has predicted rain or thundershowers would occur at a few places over east UP and at isolated places over western part of the state.
