SI resigns over negligence charges, alleges harassment

A police sub-inspector has tendered his resignation over charges of negligence, a senior official said today.

SSP Manzil Saini told reporters that sub-inspector Raghuraj Singh Bhati posted at Miranpur police station sent his resignation to DIG Saharanpur yesterday.

The SI had been found to be negligent while on duty, Saini said.

Bhati, however, has alleged that he had been harassed by his seniors and cited misbehaviour and insult by senior police officers as reasons for his resignation.
