Silver futures down 0.2% on global cues

Speculators trimmed positions amid a weak global trend

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Silver prices moved down by 0.19% to Rs 35,737 per kg in futures trade today as speculators trimmed positions amid a weak global trend.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in December moved down by Rs 67, or 0.19%, to Rs 35,737 per kg in a business turnover of 516 lots.

Similarly, the white metal for delivery in March 2015 declined by Rs 51, or 0.14%, to Rs 36,587 per kg in 26 lots.

Market analysts said trimming of positions by speculators amid a weak trend overseas put pressure on silver prices at futures trade.

Meanwhile, silver fell 0.30% to $16.15 an ounce in Singapore.
