Chief Minister V Narayanasamy today called for sinking inimical feelings and promoting mutual understanding and love for the broad based development of Puducherry.
In his message on the eve of Ayudha Pooja he said the festival was meant to promote one's dedication to love and affection.
"Work is worship and this theme is being encouraged on a priority on the occasion of celebration of Ayudha Pooja," he said.
He also urged the younger generation to strengthen their basic education to ensure themsevlves a better future.
He also extended his greetings in connection with the celebration of Vijayadasami, which falls on September 30.
Lok Sabha Member of Parliament from Puducherry R Radhakrishan in his message said the potential available for development in all sectors should be nurtured and the goal of development should be reached with dedication.
Leaders of different political parties also greeted the people on the eve of Ayudha Pooja.
