Six burglars held

Police today arrested six

burglars and seized gold and silver collectively worth Rs 50 lakh from them.

"Among them, four are members of a gang from West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh whereas the rest hailed from Madhya Pradesh. All of them were indulged in many house break-in cases. All of them were convicted by a court earlier for theft," said Police Commissioner Gowtam Sawang.

He said police recovered gold weighing 1.6 kg and 8.25 kg silver from them.
