NBA India's Reliance Foundation Junior programme selected six Indian coaches, one each from Ludhiana, Mumbai, Kochi, Delhi, Kolkata and Chennai for the 13th edition of Basketball without Borders (BWB) programme in South Africa.
Here, the coaches will get the opportunity to learn and enhance their basketball training skills with the best coaches/trainers from around the world.
Their selection was made on the basis of number of students they engaged, the number of basketball led classes they conducted and their overall involvement with the program.

Mal Singh from Guru Harkishan Das Public School in Ludhiana, Jeevan Raj from CMS Public School, Kochi, Kerala, Varun Ahlawat from Delhi Public School, Vasundhara, Anahita Gupta from Modern School for Girls, Kolkata, Digambar Mali from Fr. Agnels School, Vashi, Mumbai and Udhayakumar from Lady Andal Venkatasubbarao High School, Chennai are in Johannesburg at the American International School for this unique developmental effort.
The NBA and FIBA's global basketball development and community outreach program started on July 29 and will end on August 1 at the American International School of Johannesburg in South Africa. NBA Africa Game 2015 will take place at Ellis Park Arena in Johannesburg.
Carlos Barroca, Senior Director, NBA India said, "The teachers did a great job in India and are here at BWB Africa to continue to learn and enhance their basketball training skills with the best coaches/trainers from around the world. They will also view the NBA Africa Game - which will be a once in a lifetime experience for them.
