Six members of a family were charred to death when their hut at Sauti Chowki in Jharkhand's Sahibganj district caught fire, police said today.
The tragedy took place last night and the dead included a couple and their four children - two sons and two daughters, Sahibganj superintendent of police A B Ram told reporters here.
A relative of the family informed the police of the incident this morning, he added.
