SJVN pays Rs 280 cr dividend to Centre

State-run Sutlej Jal Vidyut Nigam (SJVN) has paid a dividend of Rs 280 crore to the Union government, which holds 64.5 per cent equity in the company, for financial year 2014-15.

SJVN had declared a total dividend of Rs 434.35 crore for FY 2014-15 which is the highest paid so far.

An amount of Rs 168 crore had already been paid to Government of India as interim dividend and the cheque of remaining amount of Rs 112 crore as final dividend was released today, a spokesman of SJVN said.

In 2014-15, SJVN commissioned all the six generating units of 412 MW Rampur Hydro Electric Project in Himachal and all the 56 units of 47.6 MW Khirwire Wind Power Project in Maharashtra.
