Sophie Marceau's 'The Party' remake in works

China's Huayi Brothers Media is set to produce a Chinese-language remake of Sophie Marceau starrer 1980 teen drama "The Party".
The Chinese film studio has joined hands with French mini-major Gaumont to co-produce the film, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The original film follows a teenage girl (Marceau) as she tries to fit in at a new school, cope with her parents' dissolving marriage and discover true love.
The film company is targeting a 2018 release, with a director and casting announcements to be made later in the year.
