The South-West monsoon advanced further into Bihar today bringing moderate to heavy rainfall in North-East and North-Central parts of the state.
However, weather remained mainly dry in rest of the state, a MET Bulletin said.
Temperature dropped sharply due to rains with Gaya recording maximum temperature at 36.9 degree Celsius followed by 35.4 degree C in Patna, 33.6 degree C in Purnea and 33.4 degree C in Bhagalpur.

Purnea recorded 9 mm rainfall followed by 5.8 mm in Patna, 1.8 mm in Gaya and 0.8 mm in Bhagalpur, the bulletin said.
The weathermen has forecast thunderstorm with rain for tomorrow and Friday.
