The special session of the Delhi Assembly was today extended for one more day to discuss the proposed Metro fare hike and other issues.
The government has locked horns with the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) over the hike which is to be effective from October 10.
The AAP government had today called for a one-day special session of the Assembly to discuss and pass 'Regularisation of Services of Guest Teachers and Teachers Engaged under the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan Bill'.

"The session has been extended for one day. The House will sit on October 9," Speaker Ram Niwas Goel said.
Lt Governor Anil Baijal's communication to the Centre to withdraw powers of the Department Related Standing Committees (DRSC) of the assembly may also be raised in the House on Monday.
Earlier in the day, AAP's Tilak Nagar MLA Jarnail Singh demanded action against Chief Secretary M M Kutty for not standing up during the entry of the speaker in the House and termed it as "disrespecting the decorum of the House".
Meanwhile, extension was given to four House committees to submit their reports before the commencement of seventh session.
The Special Inquiry Committee has been given extention. It was set up by the House to investigate alleged illegal restoration of cancelled license of a ration shop in Burari.
The House Committee on Municipal Corporations in Delhi and the Special Inquiry Committee on alleged irregularities and corruption in bodies that are administering cricket and hockey in Delhi have got extension.
