Aluminium prices were higher by 0.30 per cent to Rs 150.30 per kg in futures market today as speculators built up fresh positions, taking positive cues from spot market on pick-up in demand.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in July edged up by 45 paise, or 0.30 per cent to Rs 150.30 per kg in a business turnover of 23 lots.
Likewise, the metal for delivery in July enquired higher by 35 paise, or 0.23 per cent to Rs 150.70 per kg in 140 lots.
Analysts said fresh positions created by participants after demand from consuming industries picked up in the physical market mainly led to the rise in aluminium prices at futures trade.
