'Train The Trainers', a three- day workshop on integrated inter-disciplinary STEM education ended today in the presence of representatives from all over the world.
STEM refers to Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.
The workshop, held in Barrackpore in near here, focused on the importance of implementing STEM education in Indian education scenario and advocated problem/solution-based learning for all-round development of creative young minds.

Experts like STEM Outreach Specialist at Georgia Southern University Dr Lisa Stueve, Chairman of Board of Directors of India America Cultural Association Dr Paddy Sharma, Dr Amitabh Sharma of American India Foundation, Atlanta, talked about solution-based learning at the workshop.
The workshop was organised at STEM World School, a wing of STEM Academy of US, which promotes STEM education in developing nations.
A pet project of former US President Barack Obama, STEM is a methodology of teaching children from Grade 4 to Grade 10 with tools and kits.
