Dream 'Game of Thrones' cameo would be Barack Obama: Martin

"Game of Thrones" author G R R Martin says former US President Barack Obama would be a "dream cameo" on hit fantasy show.

Obama is a self-confessed fan of the show and producers David Benioff and D B Weiss had even sent him advance episodes of season six.

The "Song of Ice and Fire" series writer was asked by a commenter on his blog about his "dream guest/cameo".

"Well, Barack Obama would be pretty exciting," Martin said.

"And actually, he IS a fan of the show," he added.

Benioff and Weiss revealed last year that they gave the president early access to season six of the show.
 

"When the commander-in-chief says, 'I want to see advanced episodes' - what are ya gonna do?" Benioff said.

The season seven of the show will air in India on Star World and Star World Premier HD.
