Sub engineer in ACB trap for accepting Rs 10,000 bribe

A sub-engineer working in a power distribution company in Warangal district of Telangana was today arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) for allegedly taking bribe of Rs 10,000.

The Sub-Engineer, presently Incharge Assistant Executive Engineer of TSNPDCL in Vardhanapet mandal of Warangal, was caught red-handed by ACB officials when he demanded and accepted an amount of Rs 10,000 as bribe from a complainant, for doing an official favour, an ACB release said here.

The accused officer was arrested after recovery of the bribe amount, it said.
