Sub-treasury official, teacher held for taking Rs 20k bribe

A sub-treasury officer and a teacher were arrested by ACB for allegedly accepting bribe of Rs 20,000 in Asifabad district of Telangana today.

B V Ramachari, Sub-Treasury Officer in Kagaznagar of Asifabad district, was trapped by ACB sleuths when he accepted bribe of Rs 20,000 through D Balarm, a teacher working at Mandal Education Office in Kagaznagar, which was demanded from a complainant for doing an official favour, a ACB release said here.

Subsequently, both the STO and Teacher were arrested. Further probe is on.
