Renowned sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik has been declared as the brand ambassador for the 5th International Sand Art Festival to be held at Konark by the tourism department of Odisha.
International Sand Art Festival is a popular annual event organised by Odisha Tourism from December 1 to 5 at Konark in Puri.
Several sand artists from India and abroad will participate in the festival.
As the festival would coincide with the 'Make in Odisha' Conclave, a large number of visitors are expected to turn up to witness the international event, said Pattnaik, expressing happiness for once again being made brand ambassaror of the event.
"It will be a unique opportunity for the visitors to watch and enjoy the making of sand art," he said.
Odisha tourism has been organising this festival for last four years.
So far, Sudarsan has participated in more than 50 international sand art festivals and competition around the world and won many prizes for the country.
