Sugar declines on stockist selling

Both the varieties of Sugar prices declined at the Vashi Wholesale market here today on stockists selling amidst subdued demand from bulk consumers as well as millers.

Medium sugar (M-30) fell by Rs 5/10 per quintal to Rs 3,021/3,211 from Monday's closing level of Rs 3,026/3,221.

Small sugar (S-30) also eased by Rs 6 per quintal to Rs 2,880/3,001 as compared to Rs 2,886/3,001 previously.

Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:

Medium sugar(M-30) quality: Rs 3,021/3,211 (Rs 3,026/3,221).

Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 2,880/3,001 (Rs 2,886/3,001).
