Both the variety sugar prices eased further at the Vashi wholesale market here today due to reduced demand from bulk consumers on the back of ample supply position.
Small sugar (S-30) declined by Rs 4/7 per quintal to Rs 2,912/3,035 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 2,916/3,042.
Medium sugar (M-30) also went down by Rs 10 per quintal to Rs 3,012/3,185 as against Rs 3,022/3,185.
Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 2,912/3,035 (Rs 2,916/3,042).
Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,012/3,185 (Rs 3,022/3,185).
