Sugar millgate prices were down by Rs 5 per quintal at the wholesale market in the national capital today largely due to increased selling by millers amidst reduced offtake by bulk consumers.
Marketmen said persistent selling by millers against sluggish demand, mainly led to the fall in sugar prices.
In millgate section, Budhana and Dhanora were down by Rs 5 each to Rs 3,070 and Rs 3,060 per quintal.
