Sugar mill officials booked for not paying dues of farmers

Three officials, including the managing director, of a sugar mill have been booked for not clearing the dues of farmers at Bhadak area here, an officer said.

The officials were booked yesterday for not paying the dues of farmers, District Magistrate D K Singh said.

Secretary of the Cane Society, V M Pathak, had lodged a complaint against the mill's management, he said.

The mill has failed to clear the dues of farmers to the tune of more than 234 crore, the officer said.
