Sugar prices fell at the wholesale market in the national capital today, weighed down by ample stocks on persistent supplies from mills.
However, scattered buying by bulk consumers limited the losses.
Marketmen said adequate stocks position following persistent supplies from mills against limited buying by stockist and bulk consumers, mainly led to the fall in sweetner prices.

Sugar ready M-30 and S-30 prices slipped from Rs 3,220-3,370 and Rs 3,210-3,360 to end at Rs 3,320-3,350 and Rs 3,210-3,340 per quintal.
In a similar manner, prices of mill delivery M-30 and S-30 enquired lower at Rs 3,070-3,205 and Rs 3,050-3,190 instead of Rs 3,080-3,220 and Rs 3,060-3,200 per quitnal.
Among millgate section, Sugar Asmoli lost Rs 25 at Rs 3,190, while Simbholi by Rs 20 at Rs 3,175 per quintal.
Prices of Kinnoni fell by Rs 15 at Rs 3,205 and Nazibabad by Rs 10 at Rs 3,090 per quintal.
In line with overall trends, in retail markets, sugar prices traded lower at Rs 37 to Rs 38 per kg.
