Sugar prices registered a marginal rise of Rs 10 per quintal at the wholesale market in the national capital today following improved buying by stockists and retailers.
Marketmen said increased buying by stockists, retailers and bulk consumers such as soft-drink and ice-cream makers, mainly pushed sweetener prices higher.
Sugar spot M-30 and S-30 prices were higher by Rs 10 each to end at Rs 3,660-3,740 and Rs 3,650-3,730 per quintal.

In the millgate section, sugar Dhampur and Malakpur enquired higher by Rs 10 each to Rs 3,380 and Rs 3,400 per quintal.
