Sugar prices slipped at the Vashi wholesale market here today on reduced demand from stockist and retailers amidst ample supplies.
Medium sugar (M-30) dropped by Rs 40/10 per quintal to Rs 2,802/2,946 from Rs 2,842/2,956 previously.
Small sugar (S-30) also declined by Rs 5/18 per quintal to Rs 2,695/2,782 from yesterday's closing level of Rs 2,700/2,800.
Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:
Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 2,802/2,946 (Rs 2,842/2,956).
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 2,695/2,782 (Rs 2,700/ 2,800).
