Sugar weakens on adequate supply

Weak conditions prevailed at the wholesale market in the national capital today with sugar prices drifting on ample supplies from mills against reduced offtake by bulk consumers.

Marketmen said adequate stocks position in the market following higher supplies by mills against reduced offtake by bulk consumers mainly kept pressure on sugar prices.

Sugar ready M-30 and S-30 eased to Rs 2,730-2,950 and Rs 2,720-2,930 against last close of Rs 2,750-2,960 and Rs 2,740-2,940 per quintal, respectively.

Similarly, mill delivery M-30 and S-30 drifted to Rs 2,610-2,800 and Rs 2,600-2,770 from previous close of Rs 2,630-2,810 and Rs 2,620-2,790 per quintal, respectively.
 

In the millgate section, Mawana, Kinnoni, Asmoli and Dorala also quoted lower at Rs 2,650, Rs 2,800, Rs 2,790 and Rs 2,650 against last close of Rs 2,675, Rs 2,810, Rs 2,800 and Rs 2,670 per quintal, respectively.

Sugar retail markets - Rs 31.00-34.00 per kg.

Sugar ready: M-30 Rs 2,730-2,950 S-30 Rs 2,720-2,930.

Mill delivery: M-30 Rs 2,610-2,800 S-30 Rs 2,600-2,770.

Sugar mill gate (including duty): Mawana Rs 2650, Kinnoni Rs 2,800, Asmoli Rs 2,790, Dorala Rs 2,650, Budhana Rs 2,675, Thanabhavan Rs 2,660, Dhanora Rs 2,650, Simbholi Rs 2,790, Modi Nagar Rs 2,640, Khatuli Rs 2,790, Dhampur 2,640, Ramala Rs 2,630, Bulandshahr Rs 2,650, Anupshahr Rs 2,610, Baghpat Rs 2,640, Morna Rs 2,640, Sakoti Rs 2,640, Chandpur Rs 2,640, Nazibabad Rs 2,630.
