Suspected militants open fire at Manipur village

Suspected militants opened fire at Gamnom village in Manipur's district located close to the Indo-border in the early hours today, but there was no report of any casualty, police said.

Security forces rushed to the village but the militants fled before the arrival of the security forces, the police said.

However, police recovered 42 empty cartridges, six empty cartridges of lethod shell and two missed lethod shells from the spot, a said, adding that no one was injured in the firing.
