Suspected naxalite held in MP

A 17-year-old youth, suspected to be a naxalite, was today detained here, police said.

The youth was taken into custody from Sulsuli police station limit which falls on the border adjoining Chhattisgarh, police said.

A gun was recovered from him, they added.

The youth is a resident of Chhattisgarh's Rajnandgaon district, police said, adding that preliminary investigation revealed that he had worked for the Korchi Dalam of naxalites.
