Suspension of forest official

Raghubar Das today directed dismissal of a forest officer in connection with alleged siphoning of government funds to the tune of about Rs 18.26 lakh when he was posted in Koderma, an official release said here.

The order came against the forest officer, Babunand Prasad, in the wake of receipt of complaint against him of alleged financial irregularities in departmental schemes, MG-NERGA and forest development programmes during his tenure there, the release said.
