Swaraj thanks Bahrain for Royal pardon to 69 Indian prisoners

India today thanked Bahrain for Royal pardon to 69 Indian prisoners who were lodged in various jails there.

"We thank Bahrain for Royal pardon to 69 Indian prisoners," External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj tweeted tonight.

Swaraj, in another tweet, also appreciated the efforts of the Indian envoy in Bahrain for securing their release.

"I appreciate the efforts of Indian Ambassador Alok Sinha and his team (for it)," she said.
