Two motorcycle-borne youths were crushed to death by a speeding tanker in Bihar's Samastipur district today, police said.
The incident occured on NH-103 near Bathua Bujurg village under Musrigharari police station, when the tanker coming from the opposite direction hit the motorcycle, killing both of them on the spot, Musrigharari Police Station SHO Kamal Ram said.
Both the persons fell on the road after the collision but the tanker's driver, in order to escape from the spot, ran his vehicle over them, the SHO said.
The identities of the persons could not be ascertained so far, he said, adding, both are youths.
The bodies will be sent to sadar hospital for post-mortem.
