Teen killed in mishap in Amethi

A 17-year-old girl was killed and and two of her relatives were seriously injured in a road mishap near Gandhinagar on Tanda-Banda national highway, police said today.

SHO of Gauriganj, RP Shahid said Anjali was killed and her sister Puja and brother-in-law Dipak were seriously injured when their bike was hit by a truck near Gandhinagar.

Anjali, who was run over by the truck, died on the spot.

Her relatives were rushed to community health centre in Gauriganj by police.

Truck driver fled from the scene after the accident, leaving behind the truck which was later seized by Gauriganj police.
