Teenager dies in accidental firing in UP

Teenager Vishal Prajapati, a resident of Brahmapuri area, was killed after the gun of a security guard accidentally went off during the flag hoisting function, SP (City) Om Prakash said. Prajapati was killed on the spot.

Another person, identified as factory official Sanjeev, was also injured in the incident, he said, adding that the victim is undergoing treatment at a hospital here.

Police have taken into custody the CCTV footages of the function and further probe into the incident is on, he said.
