Tension prevails in Muzaffarnagar after youth dead shot

A youth was allegedly shot dead by two motorcycle-borne men at Pachenda road here, triggering protests by locals who indulged in brick batting.

Abid (28) was shot dead by two unidentified miscreants on Pachenda road here last evening when the victim was returning from his hair dressing shop.

Irate over the incident, locals gathered and started brick batting in protest against the incident.

Senior police officers have rushed to the spot and situation is under control.

Security has been tightened in the city and para-military forces have been deployed there.
