Chief Minister V Narayanasamy today paid floral tributes at the statue of saint Thiruvalluvar on the Tamil poet's birth anniversary.
Ministers, legislators and delegates of various outfits also garlanded the statue and recalled the immortal contributions of the poet.
The day was celebrated as Tiruvalluvar day here as part of the celebrations of the Pongal harvest festival.
