Three arrested for damaging compound wall light of mutt

Three persons belonging to Dravidar Viduthalai Kazhagam, a fringe outfit, were arrested today on charges of pelting stone on the wall light at Sri Shankara Mutt in Salem district, police said.

Based on the complaint, DVK leaders Krishnan, Rajendran and Manoj were arrested on charges of damaging the compound wall lights, police said.

Cases have been registered against them under Tamil Nadu Public Property Damage Act and IPC 506 (1)(criminal intimidation) police said.
