A special anti-corruption bureau court today awarded three years of imprisonment to three persons, including a government officer in a case of graft here.

The ACB court judge Nagendra Pal Bhandari held the trio guilty in the case and pronounced the verdict on them, prosecution sources said.

A piece of pasture land was fraudulently transferred to a person, identified as Omprakash in 1997-98 in Bikasar village in the district by Omprakash and Naingiri in connivance with Ashok Yadav, who was then posted as Sub-Divisional Officer, they said.

Yadav is currently posted as Additional district collector in SriGanganagar.

Later, on a tip off, the ACB officials unearthed the irregularities and lodged a case against them in 2005 under section 13 (1) of prevention of corruption act and 120 (B) of IPC, the sources added.
