To familiarise officers of civil administration with work and functioning of the police, a three-day police training programme was today launched here for Kashmir Administrative Service (KAS) probationers.
The training programme organised by Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy, aims to achieve coordination between important stakeholders of peace and harmony in the society.
In his inaugural address, Additional Director General of Police, S P Vaid advised officers in civil and police administration to "leave aside their ego and work in coordination to provide better service to people."
Earlier, Parminder Singh, Director of the Academy gave an overview of the course and other curricular activities of the academy.
