Three jailed in Egypt for inciting violence

An Egyptian court today sentenced two persons to life and a child to six months in jail for inciting violence during a sit-in organised here to demand the then military establishment relinquish power to a civilian authority.
The court also acquitted 26 defendants in the case.
The defendants were accused of inciting violence, attempt killing and attacking people in 2013.
The sit-in was organised to demand that Egypt's then ruling Supreme Council of Armed Forces (SCAF) relinquish power to a civilian authority.
