Three persons travelling on a motorcycle were killed when the vehicle caught fire after colliding head on with a jeep in Bihar's Kishanganj district, police said today.
The incident occurred at Chhatragach village under Pothia block of the district when the three bike borne persons were going for fishing late lasy night. A multi-utility vehicle coming from the opposite direction collided head on with the bike, which then caught fire, block development officer Sandeep Kumar Pandey said.
Two persons died on the spot due to serious burn injuries in the incident, while the third succumbed to burn injuries while being taken to a nearby hospital, the BDO said adding all of them have been identified.

Agitated locals blocked the Thakurganj-Chhatragach main road for hours in protest against the incident and demanded compensation for the bereaved families.
The blockade was lifted after the BDO assured them of adequate compensation for the affected families.
